Whole House Descaling for Consistent, Reliable Water

This whole house water descaler and scale inhibition system is engineered for homes and light commercial applications that need stable flow, reduced limescale and corrosion, and minimal maintenance. Installed on the main supply line, it treats all incoming water before it reaches heaters, fixtures, and appliances, helping protect plumbing and equipment while maintaining strong, consistent water pressure. Instead of using salt or chemical additives, it relies on a patented physical treatment process that changes how minerals behave in water, reducing their tendency to form hard, adherent scale on internal surfaces.

The system features IPSE (Ion Polarization System) technology, a patented pipe-type anti-scaling design that uses a dedicated impeller assembly to disturb the flow field inside the housing. This increases the scouring force of the water on the internal SAAS alloy anti-scaling components, promoting efficient interaction between water and the treatment media. As water passes through, calcium and magnesium ions remain in the water but are altered so they have a reduced ability to crystallize as hard, compact scale. Existing dense calcite deposits are gradually converted into a looser aragonite form with weaker adhesion, supporting progressive descaling of pipes, heat exchangers, and fixtures over time.

The SAAS alloy internal structure is designed for durability and high-pressure operation, with resistance up to 850 psi under suitable installation conditions. It helps inhibit mineral scaling, reduce the impact of certain heavy metals, and limit microbial attachment on treated surfaces. The stainless steel 1.4301 (14GA) main body provides long service life and corrosion resistance, making the unit suitable for continuous use in demanding environments. With a maximum flow rate of up to 6 m³/h and a working pressure range of 0.15-1 MPa, it is well-suited to typical residential and small commercial flow demands.

The unit operates without electricity, salt, or replacement cartridges, offering a straightforward, low-intervention solution for hard water management. It connects directly to G1" female threaded connections and is compatible with copper, CPVC, PVC, and, with suitable adapters, PEX and other pipe types. Designed for inlet temperatures from 0 °C to 100 °C (with optimal efficiency typically between 0 °C and 60 °C), it can be installed on cold water lines feeding a wide range of hot water systems. All wetted parts are manufactured from materials suitable for contact with drinking water, and the product carries NSF-related health safety assurances. The robust construction is designed for a service life of at least 20 years under normal conditions, supported by a 1-year warranty.

Why It's a Smart Choice

  • Reduces formation of new limescale on heaters, fixtures, and pipework, helping maintain flow and thermal efficiency.
  • Supports gradual descaling of existing deposits by converting dense calcite into a looser form that is easier to remove.
  • Operates without salt, power, or consumable filters, minimizing ongoing maintenance and running costs.

FAQ

Q: Does this system remove calcium, magnesium, or lower TDS?
A: No. The system does not reduce TDS or physically remove calcium and magnesium ions. Instead, it alters their structure so they are less likely to crystallize as hard, adherent scale.

Q: How is this different from a traditional salt-based softener?
A: A traditional softener exchanges calcium and magnesium for sodium or potassium and requires salt, regeneration cycles, and drainage. This unit uses physical ion polarization and alloy media to inhibit scale and support descaling, without salt, brine discharge, or regeneration.

Q: Will it affect my water pressure?
A: The system is designed for large flow applications, with a maximum flow rate up to 6 m³/h. When correctly sized and installed on a compatible line, it maintains strong, stable pressure for whole-house use.

Q: Is it suitable for drinking water lines?
A: Yes. All internal components are made from materials suitable for contact with potable water, and the product carries NSF-related health safety assurances for use on drinking water supplies.

Q: What maintenance is required?
A: Under normal operating conditions, the system is effectively maintenance-free. There are no filters to replace and no salt or chemicals to add. Periodic visual inspection of the installation and connections is recommended as with any plumbing component.
