Professional LAN Cable Length & POE Tester with LCD Display
- The NOYAFA NF-8209 is designed for technicians who need accurate cable measurement, clear wiremap diagnostics, and reliable cable tracing in structured network environments. With its LCD display, POE detection, and multiple scan modes, it supports fast fault location during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The NF-8209 network cable tester measures LAN cable length from 2.5 m to 200 m and displays results directly on the integrated LCD screen for quick interpretation. It tests STP and UTP cables for open circuits, shorts, cross-wiring, and other wiring faults, providing a clear wiremap to help pinpoint issues along the run. Three selectable scan modes-Normal, Anti-jamming, and POE-support use in different field conditions, including environments with electrical interference or active POE networks.
The device can detect POE voltage and identify which pins are supplying power, as well as the PSE type (such as at/af standard), making it suitable for verifying IP camera, access point, and VOIP phone installations. A port blink function allows you to locate the correct network port on a switch or hub by triggering the corresponding port LED, compatible with 10M/100M/1000M equipment. Additional functions include AC voltage presence detection (approx. 50-1000 V), voice prompts, low-voltage alerts, and an integrated flashlight for working in low-light spaces such as racks, ceilings, and cabinets. The main tester (approx. 130 × 70 × 28 mm) and receiver (approx. 210 × 43 × 27 mm) are powered by AAA or 9V batteries (depending on configuration), and settings such as language, backlight time, auto-off, contrast, and version can be adjusted to match your workflow. A headphone output supports line hunting in noisy environments or over longer distances.
Why It's a Smart Choice
- Combines length measurement, wiremap, POE testing, and port blinking in one tool, reducing the need for multiple devices.
- LCD display, voice prompts, and low-voltage alerts improve clarity and help prevent misreads and downtime during diagnostics.
- Anti-jamming mode, flashlight, and headphone support make it practical for on-site work in complex, noisy, or low-light installations.
FAQ
Q: Can this tester measure cable length on installed cables?
A: Yes, it can measure the approximate length of LAN cables between 2.5 m and 200 m, including cables already installed in walls or conduits, as long as both ends are accessible for testing.
Q: Does it support both STP and UTP network cables?
A: Yes, the NF-8209 is suitable for testing common STP and UTP Ethernet cables and can detect open, short, and cross wiring faults.
Q: Can it identify which switch port a cable is connected to?
A: Yes, the port blink function triggers the corresponding port LED on a compatible switch or hub, helping you quickly identify the correct port.
Q: Is this tester suitable for POE network troubleshooting?
A: It can detect POE voltage, identify which pins carry power, and indicate the PSE type, making it useful for checking POE lines to devices such as IP cameras or access points.
Q: Does it work in noisy or dark environments?
A: The built-in flashlight, adjustable backlight, and headphone output support use in dark racks, ceilings, and noisy equipment rooms.
