Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera for Accurate Industrial Diagnostics

- This BSIDE HX1 handheld thermal imager combines precise temperature measurement with clear infrared imaging, giving technicians, engineers, and inspectors a reliable tool for fast fault location and documentation in the field.

The HX1 captures thermal images at 100×100 IR resolution, allowing you to see clear temperature patterns and subtle differences across components, surfaces, and installations. With a measurement range from -20°C to 550°C, it is suitable for tasks such as electrical inspection, HVAC diagnostics, circuit and PCB repair, pipeline tracing, mechanical maintenance, and basic medical or veterinary screening where non-contact temperature evaluation is required. A 2.4-inch LCD screen provides a bright, easy-to-read display, while a frame rate of 25 Hz delivers smooth image updates during live scanning.

The camera offers 15 pseudo color palettes, enabling you to choose the most suitable visual contrast for each application, from high-contrast fault finding to more natural, easy-on-the-eye gradients for extended use. Adjustable emissivity (0.01-1.00) helps improve measurement accuracy across different materials such as metals, plastics, painted surfaces, and insulation. High and low temperature alarms can be set so that image markers, buzzer alerts, and LED flashing immediately notify you when temperatures exceed your defined thresholds. A built-in laser indicator and LED illumination assist in precisely targeting and illuminating the area being measured, especially in poorly lit environments.

The HX1 is designed for regular field use with a three-proof design rated IP54 and tested for 1.5 m drop resistance. The housing uses a double injection molding process, providing a secure grip and enhanced durability. For documentation and reporting, the instrument includes a 4 GB built-in TF card for image storage. Captured images can be exported and analyzed in detail using the included PC analysis software, allowing you to review temperature points, compare images over time, and generate reports for clients or maintenance records. The unit is powered by a rechargeable 2500 mAh lithium battery, supporting extended operation on site, and a threaded mounting hole at the bottom allows secure attachment to a tripod for stable, hands-free measurements. A fitted EVA carry case helps protect the camera during transport and storage.

FAQ

Q: Can I analyze the images on my computer?
A: Yes. The HX1 stores images on the built-in 4 GB TF card. You can export the files and use the supplied PC analysis software to review temperatures, compare images, and prepare documentation.

Q: Is this suitable for electrical and PCB inspection?
A: Yes. The 100×100 IR resolution and 25 Hz frame rate help you quickly identify hot spots on circuit boards, connectors, breakers, and distribution panels, supporting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Q: Can I adjust emissivity for different materials?
A: Yes. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.01 to 1.00, which helps improve temperature accuracy on metals, painted surfaces, plastics, and other materials.

Q: How durable is the camera for field use?
A: The HX1 has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and is tested for drops from 1.5 m. The double injection molded housing and EVA carry case further enhance protection during daily use.

Q: Does it support tripod mounting?
A: Yes. There is a screw hole at the bottom of the device so it can be mounted on a standard tripod for stable, hands-free monitoring.
