5-in-1 Lipid Meter for At‑Home and Clinical Lipid Profiling
Monitor key blood lipids quickly and efficiently with this 5-in-1 Lipid Meter and test kit. Designed for self-monitoring and professional use, it provides a clear overview of total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL (calculated), and TC/HDL ratio from a small whole blood sample.
The analyzer uses photochemical measurement in combination with dedicated blood lipid test strips. A fingertip or venous whole blood sample (approximately 35 µL) is applied to the strip. As the sample infiltrates the strip, blood cells are filtered or dissolved and the remaining components react with enzymes and reagents in the reaction layer. The resulting color change is measured at a wavelength of 620 nm, and the analyzer calculates the concentration of each lipid parameter using reflection coefficients and established formulas. LDL cholesterol is derived using standard calculations (LDL = TC − HDL − TG/5 in mg/dL or LDL = TC − HDL − TG/2.2 in mmol/L), and the TC/HDL ratio is also automatically provided.
The device can quantitatively detect total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and calculated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in one panel when used with compatible lipid strips. Typical measuring ranges include: TC 2.59-10.35 mmol/L (100-400 mg/dL), HDL-C 0.39-2.59 mmol/L (15-100 mg/dL), and TG 0.51-7.34 mmol/L (45-650 mg/dL). Results are available in about 180 seconds and can be displayed in either mmol/L or mg/dL, selectable on the analyzer.
The meter is suitable for households, clinics, and other medical units that require regular lipid monitoring for conditions such as hyperlipidemia, dyslipidemia, or cardiovascular risk assessment. It supports routine follow-up between laboratory visits and helps users track trends in their lipid profile over time.
The kit includes: 1 blood lipid detector, 10 test papers (lipid test strips), 10 blood collection vessels, 10 blood collection needles (lancets), 1 portable carrying case, and 1 English instruction manual. Replacement test papers for ongoing testing are available separately.
Why It's a Smart Choice
- Comprehensive panel: measures TC, TG, HDL, LDL (calculated), and TC/HDL ratio from a single small blood sample.
- Fast turnaround: provides quantitative results in approximately 180 seconds for timely decision-making.
- Flexible use: suitable for home self-monitoring and routine checks in clinics or other medical settings.
FAQ
Q: Can this device be used at home without medical training?
A: Yes. The meter is designed for straightforward operation with clear instructions. Users should follow the manual carefully and consult a healthcare professional to interpret results and adjust treatment if needed.
Q: What type of blood sample does the analyzer require?
A: The analyzer works with human whole blood, either peripheral capillary blood from a finger prick or venous whole blood, using approximately 35 µL per test.
Q: How many parameters can be checked with one strip?
A: When used with compatible lipid strips, a single test can provide values for total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, calculated LDL cholesterol, and the TC/HDL ratio.
Q: Are test strips and lancets included in the kit?
A: Yes. The kit includes 10 test strips, 10 blood collection vessels, and 10 blood collection needles for initial use. Additional replacement test papers can be purchased separately.
Q: Does this replace laboratory testing?
A: The meter supports ongoing monitoring but does not replace comprehensive laboratory diagnostics. Users should confirm important clinical decisions with their healthcare provider and follow recommended laboratory testing schedules.
